    In the 400th year since the birth of William Shakespeare, we host a panel to reflect on how writers today continue to draw inspiration from classic works of the past. Spanish author Jon Bilbao’s first novel El hermano de las moscas (2008) was a revision of Kafka’s The Metamorphosis, while Shakespeare y la ballena blanca, published in 2013, brings together William Shakespeare and Moby Dick in a historical tragedy. Chengdu poet Xiang Yixian向以鲜is a scholar of classical Chinese poetry whose own poetry reflects his research. 在莎士比亚诞生400年后的今天,我们的活动将向大家展示当今的作家们是如何从古典名著中找到灵感的。西班牙作家Jon Bilbao的第一部小说《El hermano de las moscas》(2008)是对卡夫卡《变形记》的改写,而他于2013年出版的另一部小说《Shakespeare y la ballena blanca》则让莎士比亚和大白鲸莫比迪克在一场历史悲剧中不期而遇。另一位嘉宾是成都本地诗人向以鲜。他同时还是一位中国古代诗歌学者,而他自己的诗歌中也蕴含着古典的韵味。 (Chinese/English中/英文) Buy Tickets 买票
